A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, for timing uses a small controlled leg kick. The hands stay back, swing path is level through the zone, finishes the swing with two hands at shoulders. The lower half is good but, can be more balanced at the finish, his back foot slightly moves. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 58 mph, and ran a 4.77 30 yard-dash. The timing was good, made solid contact, good hand to eye ability. Defensively, had a pop time of 3-3.60, arm strength needs to improve, arm was clocked at 50 mph from the chute, works from a lower slot. The arm needs to work from a higher slot, should help with additional carry and flight to the baseball. The hands are soft on the catch. During infield play, hands are soft, needs to length stride, arm was clocked at 52 mph, from a lower slot. Strength is a must, getting arm slightly higher, with a longer stride should help the arm be on time with more velocity.
