8/26/15
In his third PBR event, this right hander was 80-82 with the fastball. The slot is ¾ and is very clean and effortless. The curveball was 68-72, has the correct shape and spin to it. The changeup is a plus pitch, good fade and uses the entire body to throw it. Times to the plate were 1.40-1.50. The body is long and lengthy at 6-foot-2. Magi has thrown a good amount of innings, starting to get tired. The ceiling is high, once he add some strength and puts some weight on the velo should jump. The future is very bright for him.
8/5/15
Showed a tremendous 3-pitch mix with a projectable frame. The arm works out of a ¾ arm slot and is free and easy. The fastball runs all over the place at 81-84. Showed command of the fastball on both sides. The breaking pitch has the correct shape at 74 and will be an out pitch at the next level. The changeup was 71 and had action and fade to it. The delivery is clean and on time. Stays online with his feet and the top half direction is on time. He repeats the delivery and is a good athlete.

Magi a 6-foot-2, 165-pound, is long and lengthy, has a ton of room to put weight on. Magi was very impressive, throws from a ¾ slot, the arm is free and easy. The motion is simple, was able to repeat it, with very good direction to the plate. The fastball was 77-83 with serious arm side sink and run, had late action to it. Changeup was a good pitch, had proper rotation and good depth, was thrown at 68-70. The curveball is a work in progress, velocity is 65-66, slows down on it. This has all the makings of turning into something special. Look for the velocity to make a jump at some point and if he can clean up the breaking ball, will be a three pitch pitcher.
