5-foot-11, 170-pound, average athletic frame, squared off shoulders, wiry strength with twitchy actions and movements. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, has a wider even setup. The hands are held higher, strong, loaded, extended back elbow. The lower half is under control, small pick up and put down, good backside drive, head is stacked over back knee on contact, stays behind the baseball. The swing is level through the zone, a line drive swing, stays in the middle of the field. The exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph. A very good runner for a catcher, ran a 7.07 sixty-yard dash, long strider, with quick feet behind the plate. Defensively, had a pop time of 2.01-2.09, arm was clocked at 71 mph, all throws were on or close to the bag. The arm action sis shorter, working from an over top slot, throwing down hill. 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher and second baseman. He ran a 7.2 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is trending up, he threw 70 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.19. The feet can continue to improve during the transfer and arm strengthening progression is a certain. The receiving needs to soften and securing the catch will come with maturation. The approach in the infield is appropriate as the feet stay active during the fielding of the baseball. He threw 69 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the defensive workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 77 mph. The setup is wide in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is is uphill to contact.
