5-foot-8, 185-pound, strong, physical frame. A well proportioned athlete, the back is wide, lower half has strength to it. A left-handed pitcher, repeats his delivery, works with a slower tempo with it, everything flows correctly. The hands start and stay high, gets to a good gather, is strong on the backside and rides out the front leg, with a good stride length, landing in line with target. The arm action is shorts, keeps fingers on top of the baseball and it works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot, hides the baseball well. The fastball was clocked at 76-78 mph, located down in the zone to both sides, showing the ability to pitch in to the glove side. The breaking ball is more of a slider/cutter, clocked at 67-71 mph, has depth and drilled to the back foot of right-handed hitters. The changeup was clocked at 73-75 mph, with action to arm side, proper fade and shape to it. Times to the plate were quick at 1.26-1.29, worked quickly and looked like he knew what he was doing. Trying to get the back half to come through a tick harder and faster, will create some more acceleration at the backend of the delivery. Good looking arm, look for velocity gains over the next 6 months, good high follow for me.
