McGee has a strong and athletic frame at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.51 seconds and recorded a top exit velo of 96 MPH. Starts at the plate in an extremely closed stance with his weight shifted onto his backside. Drifting leg kick. Hands move slightly backwards during his load. Hips completely clear through the zone. Swings with aggression, plenty of hard contact towards the middle of the field. One-handed finish. Recorded a positional velo of 82 MPH. Stays back on the ball, fields with one hand. Stays low. Transfer occurs by his midsection. Makes throws to bases from a lower arm slot. On the mound, McGee threw from the stretch. Feet are closed off and on the first base side of the rubber. Slow start to his delivery with a slight pause at the top. Hands stay close to his body. Stride direction in line. Is able to get over his front side. Short, compact arm action. High 3/4 slot. FB has some run at times at 79-82 MPH, topping at 83 MPH. A slider at 69-72 MPH showed some variance, but has some late downer tilt at times.

6-foot-4, 190-pound, strong, large athletic frame. The back is wide, long limbs, showing plenty of room for added strength gains. A right-handed hitting catcher, who worked out off the mound as well. At the plate, creates a good amount of power. Short to the baseball, long after, gets through it, finishes higher with a one-handed finish. Creating a good amount of backspin, baseball gets into the gaps with ease. The exit velocity was clocked at 94 mph. A good runner, ran a 7.4 sixty-yard dash. Behind the plate, is super athletic, moves well, strong hands on the catch. The arm is strong, clocked at 78 mph, from a higher slot, gets a tick long at times. The pop time was recorded at 1.88-2.06, can be quicker with a shorten arm path. Off the mound, arm is electric, fastball was clocked in the mid 80's with late run to it. The breaking ball has some velocity to it, clocked at 71 mph. Working from the set position, a higher hand set, easy leg raise, good direction, small pull with front side. Really like the potential with the bat, chance to throw it well behind the plate.
