Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot-2, 222-pound strong, physical athletic frame. already filling out, showing plus strength throughout, well proportioned. A right-handed hitting two-way player, showed very well on both sides of the field. Off the mound, pounded the zone with a two pitch mix, fastball is heavy, clocked at 82 mph, with more in the tank. Located to both sides, down with arm side run at times. The breaking ball is more of a slurve, topped at 69 mph, has depth with tilt to it. The delivery is simple and repeats it, stays over the backside, direction is inline with minimal pull to glove side. The arm action is long and clean, free/easy on the backside. Attacks and is aggressive, showing to have some effort on release. Look for increase in velocity, just starting to figure stuff out, a fresh arm. At the plate, even wider feet, loose, relaxed hands set just higher than shoulder height. For timing uses a higher leg kick, slight leak on foot strike, hands could stay back longer. The swing is down to level to up, more of a pull approach with loft. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 91 mph, showing plus bat speed. Will need to get the hands more direct to contact, gets through it on the backend. Runs and moves well for a bigger kid, ran a 7.31 sixty-yard dash. From the outfield, threw an easy 85 mph, fields out front gains ground, all throws were down hill with carry. Projects for me more off the mound, is in the strikes zone, will pitch with velocity at some point, with ability to make loud contact at the plate.

Arm Velocity: 85 mph
