10.7.18

6-foot-1, 170-pound, longer, lean, wiry strong athletic frame. A right-handed hitter, hands are loose, set lower. The lower half is under control, feet are at shoulder width, for timing uses a controlled leg kick into a simple stride. The hands stay back and are loaded up, slight arm bar, catches up and is short and quick to contact. The swing is level to up, keeping the hands inside the baseball, looking to drive it to the opposite field. Took a solid batting practice with good swings in game play. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, baseball jumps off the bat with ease. Defensively, worked out from behind the plate and at first base. The arm was clocked at at 70 mph down to second base, with a pop time of 2.02-2.14, throws were on the bag, with carry. The feet are quick on the transfer, arm works from a higher slot, could shorten path will help in pop time. The hands are soft on the catch and picks at first, clean quick drop steps in starting the double play. Look for him to help in multiple ways, good prospect.

Home-First: 4.60

Exit Velocity: 88 MPH

Arm Velocity: 70 MPH

8.23.18

6-foot-1, 165-pound, long, lean, lengthy athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded off, neck is longer, has room to fill out, add weight and mass to the frame. A right-handed hitter, hands are very loose and work freely through the zone, lower half is under control, simple short pick up and put down of the stride foot. The hands are set slightly lower than shoulder height, show to be quick and short to the baseball. The barrel stays in the zone, approach is more to pull side, showing to have above average power, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph. Potential to be a power go down the road, creates lift and leverage to the swing, with life to it. Defensively, had a pop time of 2.07-2.38, arm was clocked at 72 mph from the chute, footwork could quicken a tick, with a shorter transfer from glove to hand, which would help with time. The hands are soft on the catch, anticipated well on the dirt ball. At first base, gets off the bag, footwork correct around the bag, the hands were soft and work with easy effort. The arm showed to have velocity across the diamond, clocked at 80 mph. The hit tool is advanced, ran a 7.58 sixty, a move to the outfield could be the way to go with his arm velocity. Interesting prospect.

Home-First: 7.58

Exit Velocity: 88 MPH

Arm Velocity: INF-80 MPH, C-72 MPH
