8/23/18

6-foot, 195-pound, strong, solid, athletic frame. Already filling out, the back is wide, will very strong and physical at some point. A two-way player, plays all over the field. At the plate hits from the right side, stance is slightly open, feet close together, hands are loose at the letters. The swing works, slightly uphill, shows to have pop to both gaps. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph and ran 7.61 sixty-yard dash on a wet track. Potential to hit with power at the next level. Defensively, the arm is above average, clocked at 83 mph from the outfield, its short and quick on the backside. The footwork is more of a shuffle into the transfer. From behind the plate, arm was clocked at 78 mph and had a pop time of 2.04-2.09, baseball comes out of his hand with ease. The glove could soften a tick. Off the mound, fastball reached 80 mph, with heavy run, baseball rides. The breaking ball is an above average pitch, clocked at 71 mph, has velocity to it, more slider break to it. Showed feel for the change up as well, times to the plate were at 1.38. Projects for me as a hitter and pitcher, ton left in the arm. On the younger side, has a high ceiling.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.61

Exit Velocity: 86 MPH

Arm Velocity: OF-83 MPH, C-78 MPH

6-foot, 185-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, back is wide, has plenty of room to fill out. A two-way player, performed well on both sides of the field. Off the mound, has a chance to take off, baseball jumps out of his hand, look for the velocity to continue to climb. The delivery is simple, hands start and stay high, direction is line, short strider, pitches downhill, repeats it with easy effort. The arm action is real short on the back side. The fastball was clocked at 74-78 mph, has sink and run action to it. The breaking ball had good spin, clocked at 64-67 mph, showed to have tilt to the break. The changeup was 70-71 mph, needs to get more comfortable, arm action is clean enough to develop this pitch. Offensively, hits from the right side, stance is taller, feet are slightly open, back elbow gets extended outward. The swing is level to up, approach is more gap to gap, with lift to it. The backside lower half could be engaged more.  The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph, and ran 4.97 from home to first. In game swings were good, made hard contact. Defensively, pop times were 2.0-2.19, arm works fluidly out of higher slot, clocked  75 mph, has an above average strength for his age. The feet and hands work well, has good flow through the release of the baseball, throws were on the bag. High follow, time will tell which way he goes, velocity has a chance to climb off the mound.

Home-First: 4.97

Exit Velocity: 84 MPH

Arm Velocity: 75 MPH
