The approach is more middle to pull shows to have good bat speed for his age, clocked at 81 mph. The swing gets a tick violent, needs to slow it down a bit. Defensively, good large target to throw to at first base. The feet are active and quick around the bag, clean drop steps and gets inline on release. The hands are soft on the catch, works low to the ground. The arm works from a higher slot, path is clean and works with easy effort. Clocked at 70 mph, throws were on target. Off the mound, repeatable delivery, athletic lift, small collapse on the back side. The arm works out of a high ¾ slot, fastball was clocked at 71 mph, with down arm side action. The split-finger is his top secondary pitch, tumbling down action, clocked at 63-65 mph. The curveball was clocked at 60-67 mph, had minimal break to it. Times to the plate are quick at 1.53. The swing is flat across his chest, with lift at the end, finishes it with one hand. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph, advanced for his age. Defensively, shows quick feet around the bag at first, jump turns and drop steps are accurate, gets closed up and inline with targets. The hands are soft and work out front, clean transfer to throwing hand. The arm action is longer, down to up action, it’s clean and works with no bumps, clocked at 65 mph with a more in there as he continues to develop. Off the mound, this right-handed pitcher, worked from the set position the entire time, pounding the zone with three pitches. The direction is inline, has some drop in the back side, could stay taller throughout. The arm works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot.
