6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 7.75 sixty at the event. The glove is solid in the field, the feet move well through the ball and he showed soft hands. The arm is clean, throwing 75 mph across the diamond at the event. The ability to move around the infield are present as well. The bat has an exit velocity of 91 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground to the baseball as the swing is initiated. The path is flat and direct through contact with the baseball. The hands work free and clean through the baseball.

McGowan is a projectable 6-foot, 180 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. At this event he had an exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. He hits out of an athletic, square stance. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder. The load is triggered by a controlled leg kick, that allows the weight to get stacked on the back leg and the hands to get into the launch position. The bat takes a direct, flat path to and through the hitting zone and stays on plane well through contact.

Defensively, McGowan is a fluid defender. The feet are light and glide as he moves to get into the fielding position. He breaks down behind the ball, with the glove out in front and he moves well laterally. He transitions well to the throwing position. The hands are soft and the feet get him in line with the target.
