6-foot-4, 185 pounds, lanky and wiry frame. The shoulders have slope and there is plenty of room for him to fill out the upper and lower halves. A projectable right-handed pitcher, Slotter works from a ¾ slot. Big, clean arm swing with a shorter stride, throws across his body. The hands start high, Could generate more extension on pitches considering his frame. The lead leg rises up with some angle toward the third base side. At times the lead leg can wander, throwing a wrench into his delivery, but repetition and refinement should iron that out and increase his control in the zone. Slotter throws a heavy fastball with good sink that touched 79 MPH and regularly sat 76-77 MPH. As he learns to command the pitch it should be a ground ball machine. The curveball comes in between 60-65 MPH. Slotter will learn to tighten up the spin and sharpen the break with it. The changeup comes in at 72 MPH with some cut on it with good arm speed. There’s something here and Slotter could prove himself to be a late bloomer with some physical projection and further development. With a prototypical pitcher’s size, room to fill out, and a three pitch mix that shows promise, this is someone to keep tabs on throughout the spring and summer.
