Alex Cappellucci: SS/2B, (2023) out of Newington, is a CT. 5-foot-8, 145-pound infield prospect. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 88 MPH, with a (64.53 MPH bat speed average). (20.27 MPH hand speed average). He starts in a balanced, wide stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A slow load and a controlled stride allow him to be in a strong hitting position. The bat takes an uphill path onto a back foot finish, leading to a lot of pull side contact. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 MPH and showed consistent smooth feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. He also recorded a 60 time of 7.06 at the event.

5-foot-8, 140-pound, smaller, strong, athletic frame, showing wiry strength to him. A middle infielder, with twitchy actions and movements. At the plate, hits from the right-side, displays a balanced stance with low hands and a fluent drive through the baseball. Level swing while driving the ball through the middle of the field. Exhibits ability to drive the ball to all fields by staying square and bringing the barrell through the ball. Presents plus arm strength in the field with rhythmic fundamentals in the middle of the diamond. The arm was 75 mph across the diamond with quick and short arm action. Shows good mobility in the field which correlates to his plus awareness defensively. Plus leg speed is on the basepaths. Projects more of a second baseman long term and at higher levels, big follow.

Junior Future Games Report: A right-handed hitter, plays up the middle, fast twitchy athlete. Defensively is advanced, the arm is quick and fast, short action, threw an easy effort 75 mph across the diamond. The hands are clean, stays behind the baseball fields out front with correct footwork. Makes the routine play look easy. At the plate, stance is balanced, lower hands with a tilted setup. The feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width. The swing is level threw the zone, staying in the middle of the field. More spray and line drives, can handle the bat, maneuvers the barrel to the baseball. Leg speed is plus, ran a quick 7.15 sixty-yard dash. Good prospect.

5-foot-8, 120-pound, smaller, thin athletic frame, plenty of time to fill out and add weight. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, at the plate feet start even, hands are loose, loaded back at the shoulders. For timing simple stride, path is level to up, finishes above shoulders. Slight lean back on contact, approach is from gap to gap, showed the ability to go opposite, line drive swings, had a tee exit 70 mph. Defensively, is advanced, solid prep steps, gets around the baseball, momentum moving forward towards target. Works low to the ground, fields out front clean transfer. The arm works out short clean ¾ slot, clocked at 70 mph, good touch on all throws. Backhand play was performed correct, good rhythm on the slow roller pro- move. Potential to be a high level defender. Strength is a must, will aid in his overall conditioning.
