Cape Cod- It was my second look in a week at the long bodied 6-foot-6 righthander, and he again struggled to find the zone in his first Cape appearance since his return from the CNT. Stone sat 90-95 with his high-spin fastball (2500-2600 rpm) during his two-thirds of an inning, 31-pitch start against Cotuit. He walked four of the six batters he faced. He lands open with his delivery and releases from a high three-quarter slot. There is projection to his frame, but high effort to his operation. Stone also struggled to locate any of his offerings which included a 75 mph curve and a tighter, harder slider than he showed for the CNT at 84 mph.
At 6-foot-6 Harvard right hander Adam Stone has projection to his frame and his fastball which sat 90-94 during his two inning, 53-pitch relief appearance in Bluefield. However, there is effort to his operation and he struggled to locate any of his offerings which included a 72-75 mph curve and long-breaking 79-80 mph slider.
