2020 DRAFT: Although a right-handed hitter, Sabato's body type, ferocious swing and many of his mannerisms at the plate are reminiscent of Kyle Schwarber. Listed at 6-foot-2, he's a burly-strong 230 pounds with great core strength. Sabato can swing it, unleashing the bat head in a hurry while being able to recognize spin. He's very aggressive at pitches in the strike zone and despite a natural open stride, he covered the outer half of the plate very well during the Cambria College Classic in Minneapolis this spring. He's a slugger who produced 18 HRs as a true freshman last season, yet he has a compact swing, good bat control and the abilities of someone who should hit for both average and power. The ball jumps off his bat and he can drive it to all fields. On the downside, he's a below-average runner with a below-average arm, but both are adequate enough to hold down first base. Overall, the soph-eligible Sabato showed the look of a first-round bat, but he's very likely to be anchored to first base at the pro level, reminding of former MLer Steve Balboni.
