Uncommitted, ranked No. 16 in Colorado's 2019 rankings. Gienger threw well for the Colorado Recruits with a mixture of over the top arm slots combined with a very effective underneath look. Over the top fastball with life and run touching 86, and from underneath lived 81-83. Mixed in an underneath wipeout slider at 72-73 mph. Change from over top sat 75-76 with late sink in the zone.

6-foot-3, 185-pound right hand hitting SS/RHP. Right-handed hitter, Open stance, big leg kick trigger, solid balance. Short loose path, hands create bat speed, projectable traits at the plate. Good bat control and hit several balls hard into the gaps. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively he is long and athletic and covers ground quickly. Smooth actions and fields out front. Quick hands on the transfer allows him to get rid of the ball quickly. Arm played at 78 mph. On the mound his motion is smooth to the plate. Closes off at balance and the drives hard to the plate. Arm is loose and he delivers from both a high ¾ slot and can drop down to the side on any pitch. Fastball has life and run and sat 87-85 mph. Curve was 71-72 mph with sweeping break across the zone especially when he drops down. Change sat 75-76 with late sink in the zone.

6-foot-3, 185-pound right hand hitting SS/RHP. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch. Good lower leg drive on the swing. Hands come through the zone and create good whip. He showed good bat control to all fields and excellent pull side power. Exit velocity was 91 MPH. In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts. He moves well left and right and shows soft hands. He has a lightning quick transfer and arm velocity was 81 MPH. On the mound he showcased a nice 4 pitch mix. He has a strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery. Arm slot is over the top with good extension out front. Fastball was 83 MPH with good location. He added a 69 MPH curve with sharp 11/5 break, a 73 MPH change and a 72 MPH slider with late break in the zone.
