His delivery makes it a little bit difficult to pick up the baseball, especially for the right handed hitters. The arm works free and easy for both fastballs and breaking balls, he used both sides of the plate effectively and worked well changes planes vertically and challenged hitters with breaking balls in the dirt and fastballs up in the strike zone. Evan tries to attack the strike zone and only struggled with command a little bit but was able to pitch out of it effectively.
Fastball was anywhere from 84-88 with good life and the breaking ball was consistently 74-76 with some late movement. He demonstrates a competitive demeanor and appears to understand his delivery and shows the ability to self correct his mechanics during the game.
