A 6-foot-1, 150-pound left hand pitcher who starts square to the plate.  He uses a quick  step and high leg kick on his delivery.  He shows good extension to the plate and releases from a high ¾ arm angle.  His follow through takes him to the left side.  Fastball was 77 MPH with late movement and good command away to the right hand hitter.  He added a 63-65 MPH curve with good back door action and a 70-71 MPH change that lived down in the zone.

A 6-foot-1, 150-pound LHP who stands tall and commands the zone.  Powell featured 5 pitches at this event and showed the ability to throw all five in the zone.  He starts square with a high leg kick to balance up.  Slight sink and drive action to the plate and throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  His fastball was consistently 76 MPH with slight movement away from the right-hand hitter.  He added a 60 mph curve with 1/7 break and a 68 mph change-up with downward movement.  Powell finished his workout with a 68 MPH cutter with good action and a 73 MPH sinker.
