A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Positional Profile: SS/RHP Body: 6-0 180 Run: 7.26 Hit: RHH Great Barrel Round. Simple set up with minimal movements. Good foundation. Stacked at launch, bat head has slight tilt. Path is direct and he has ability to find barrel. Middle of the field approach. Hands demonstrated ability to stay inside the FB in. Wants to hurry to front side. Rear side acceleration is great and maintains balance. Has demonstrated ability to hit off speed. Power: Gap to Gap with potential as strength improves Arm: OF Velo 86 Inf Velo 82 Quick catch to release. Demonstrated longer arm action as OF Defense: Really good actions os OF/Inf and shows versatility. Good feeds on double play balls. Good lateral movement, but can improve. Momentum to and through throw. Carson as rising/developing 2022. Top Follow

Positional Profile: SS/RHP Body: 6’0” 180 Run: 4.38 Home to 1st Hit: RHH Solid foundation that stays stacked through load. Stride foot is consistent and weight distribution is 50/50 at launch. Hands start and shoulder level, Some extension of arm angles during load. Middle of the field approach. Gap to Gap approach I have seen Carson numerous times and would caution against a performance evaluation in this event video. Timing seemed off on this day hitting. Would consider Carson a college prospect! Exit Velo 88 Power: I see power potential within his swing as strength develops Arm: OF Velo 76 High ¾ Arm Action with some tail. Quick catch to release. More in there! Defense: Athletic movements. Attacking to the ball and breaks feet down for position for throw. INF: Very good positioning prior to fielding. Good Momentum through throw. Quick catch/release

Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6’0” 180
Run: 7.24
Hit: RHH Solid Base. Stacked stance with simple up/down stride foot. 50/50 weight distribution at launch. Hands stay high, arm angles in good position. Path to ball is direct and level. Creates great “to it/through it” zone. Slight tilt to front side. Has good extension and one handed follow through. Gap to Gap and demonstrated getting hands inside FB in. Exit Velo 87 Room for growth. Follow now, will gain interest
Power: With more rear side acceleration and demonstrated barrel control, Carson likely to progress with power.
Arm: Inf Velo: 77 Arm works well from all angles and has good accuracy Good Carry
Defense: Demonstrated very good actions. Good footwork to setup, good momentum through the throw...gather to quick catch/release As a 2022, would love to see continued development at all infield positions. Great potential
