PBR NORTHERN CA UNDERCLASS GAMES
Body: 6-foot-4, 160-pounds. Long/lanky/angular, long levers, frame for much more size/strength Delivery: RHP - Agile/flexible/smooth actions, easy high lift, creates and maintains rhythm between hands/feet, on-line stride, stable after foot strike, finishes w/excellent extension and body control while also in good fielding position, given his modest present strength w/a presently very sound delivery, the ceiling is quite high Arm Action: Long circular w/hand working clean away from body and around his core, loose and whip quick getting to a 3/4 slot FB: 78-82, T83 mph - Avg 1935 RPM, T2281- Considerable arm side movement that was at times explosive into RHH, showed feel on glove side as well, kept down, has a FB he can utilize as an out pitch, raw stuff rates quite well for a rising freshman SL: 74-77 mph - T1562 RPM - Smooth, kept down at knees, velocity is firm, big enough to get swings/misses if starts in the zone CHG: 73-74 mph - 1656 RPM - Late arm side life, type that can take off late and get swing/misses
11/11/18
CBA Sacramento tryout - Long limber and lean 5-foot-11 130-pound 7th grader, most impressive on the mound, easy working arm with good mechanics and body control especially given his young age (will turn 13 soon), high-3/4 slot, loose and whippy, good extension, fastball was up to 74 mph with life, breaking ball is a hybrid type that for him is a curveball but comes out with big slider-type break, has a chance to be a snappy out-pitch quality breaking ball, threw it with good feel. Changeup is a developing pitch. Offensively has a balanced approach, creates leverage in swing with his legs, good barrel into and through the zone, loose arm also showed up in infield throws. Talented young man.
