Setting up slightly open, O’Neil squares off with a fluid, down and back hands load into a power position before working uphill with angled shoulders. His barrel features some lag in the zone with a high, single-handed loose finish with more power potentially on the way as he continues to mature. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound outfielder bounced around during the defensive portion, and confidently charged balls before showing off his quick arm.

SoCal Preseason All-State (pitching) - 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, two-way player, strong proportional build, athletic, room for growth. High three-quarter arm slot, good balance, short and loose arm action, head and feet are inline with target. Sits on backside during initial leg lift leading to uphill battle and inconsistent command. Uses lower half well with some hip drive and glove side clearance. Arm action trailed the lower half leading to inconsistent feel of curveball and change-up. Starter potential that could see a boost in velocity and development of off-speed pitches from mechanical fixes and increased arm speed.
