vs Buchanan at Fresno Easter Classic - Sacramento State commit; Long lanky body type still quite a ways from full physical maturity though will likely always be long and rangy. Good timing at the plate, occasionally lost barrel on the outside pitch, hands are quick and swing is loose and works easily. Defensively plays with calm and has plus feet and soft hands, moves to and through ball easily and arm is a plus attribute. Got on mound in tie game and attacked zone with fastball that was 89-93 mph (multiple touches of 93), velocity was 88-90 in stretch, couple of breaking ball velocities indicated curveball 74-76 mph and slider 77-78 mph though the shape of each pitch wasn't much different, late break and flashed as future above average/potential plus breaking ball. Overhand slot, loose fast arm, high ceiling on mound and mid-90s certainly could be in the future, will be a follow for the 2020 draft and most likely as a pitcher though his high level defense and potential with the bat will be strongly considered.

Fresno Easter Classic 4/15 - 4/16/19 - Sacramento State Commit. Athletic SS stayed hot going 3-3 in game flashing barrel control with single to RCF/LCF before lacing a 2B down the LF line. Showed his speed in game with first step quickness getting stolen base and again with 2B thinking 2 out of the box (4.4T). Athleticism translates to Defense ranging behind 3B and making a great catch in foul territory. Has timing and rhythm at SS showing quick release with strong arm that flashes above average. / Athletic SS that shows range to both sides. Made a very athletic play 30 feet up the line for diving catch; outstanding athleticism. Arm is slightly above average now and accurate. Shows sneaky pop at the plate from right side. Drove ball into oppo gap in game; average runner.
