vs Alhambra HS - Uncommitted; 5-foot-8, 165-pound athletic frame. Proportional strength, compact. Good speed, 4.39 to 1st and quick feet. Aggressive on bases, stole 2nd on pick-off attempt and then next pitch stole 3rd . Not afraid to run. Quiet stance at plate, keeps hands away from body. Slightly open and stands in middle of box. Mostly upright setup, has some movement in hands as he loads. Uses minor toe tap. Slight hitch in load, comes down, up, and back down again as he prepares to swing. Will need to cut down on excessive movement to develop better barrel control. Moves well in the field. Made a nice diving catch, got up quickly and tried for backdoor at 2nd . Instincts are strong, lacks strong arm, although throws were accurate.

Scrimmage at Miramonte HS - Uncommitted, compact body type with strength throughout, appeared to be 5-foot-8ish, 165-pounds, put together like smallish running back, has some twitch in hands at the plate, tall set-up, keeps hands away from body, showed oppo drive pop to right-center game on fastball up and away, wristy/handsy swing, timing of lower half and pre-pitch readiness can improve as 2nd/3rd at-bats had him off balance, ran fairly down the line as he more quick than speedy, ran 4.62 turn on the double and a less than full out 4.55 on a 4-3 ground ball. Range in centerfield was good toward right-center gap and also moved well to his left. Arm strength will need to improve.
