9/14/19
Uncommitted. 5-9, 150-pounds. Athletic, strong, lean frame with some projection remaining. Billingsley is a versatile defender on the infield showing the footwork, glovework and accurate arm (76 mph) that will allow him to play anywhere on the dirt. Has range to both sides and the arm to make throws from multiple angles with quick hands. At the plate Billingsley showed a short and quick stroke that saw him get barrel on the ball consistently. Absolutely abused the left side during the game action where he had multiple hits that he shot the other way or up the middle. Shows enough hand/bat speed for the pull side but appears to favor the other way. Finished 3-for-5 with a pair of walks in two games. Quicker than he is fast (7.63 laser timed 60). Billingsley is instinctive on the bases taking bases on balls in the dirt and getting first-to-third routinely.

PBR CA STATE GAMES - Lean and lanky medium frame with space to keep adding girth. Showed strong overall game picking up a couple hits and making plays in the infield. Balanced at the plate with low hands and a slight bend in the knee; showed ability with compact bat working upwards through the zone, keeping hands close to the body. Picked up hits the other way showing feel for the barrel. Played with quick feet at 2nd base making a nice play on a top ball and showing capable defense in the OF as well.
10/20/18
Los Angeles Open - Five-foot-9, 140-pounds, small/medium frame with long legs, large feet and wiry strength. The left-handed hitting middle infielder shows a consistent and solid approach at the plate where he has a balanced setup with a smooth load and short stride. Does a fair job of incorporating the lower half into his swing. Has some present bat speed with quick hands and feel for the barrel. Pull side hitter presently with the ability to middle-middle. On the dirt he's a very instinctual player with excellent footwork. Often beats the ball to the spot under control of his body. Shows clean exchanges with enough arm to make throws from multiple angles. Reads hops well. Stays low to the ground and funnels the ball out front. Projectable athlete who is certain to grow and fill out.
