Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Strong back and legs. Very athletic physique. Delivery: From set position, his weight offset to back side leg. Synchronous hands and front leg lift just above the hips, rotating slightly into a stacked upper body. His stride is not very long but has enough strength and rotational acceleration to really get moving downhill. Arm Action: RH. With a little hitch just before a high hand separation, throwing arm circles back rhythmically on all pitches. Very natural arm slot and finishes on first base side, generates spins over 2200 rpm consistently on all pitches. FB: T86, 83-85 mph. He can make 85-86 look easy. Already has a spin rate over 2200. CB: 65-68 mph. Good arm action and heavy spin creates a ton of depth for him. Looks like it changes speed and turns mid-flight. 11/5 movement and will use it early in counts to set up a slider. SL: 71-73 mph. This pitch has bite. Good strikeout pitch, and a great counterpart to his curveball. 10-4 movement.
Mechanics: Exclusive from the stretch. Syncs glove hand with the lead leg. Higher knee tuck. Opens up hips and upper half slightly early before foot strike. Slight bend in lead leg at landing and finishes falling towards 1st. Loose arm action. Full circle in the back that gets to a ¾ slot. Arm accelerates late in the action.
CT: Solid cutter that worked more glove side and ran away from RHHs barrels. Above-average spin for velo at around 2300 rpm and up to 2450 rpm. Had some trouble locating at times.
SL: Solid movement characteristics. Average around 19 inches of horizontal break that also had some nice depth at around 8 inches of vertical break. Strikeout makeup.
