Event: California State Games; this outing pushed him into the 2024 ranking. Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Lean body, long legs, looks to have some more room for size and strength. Delivery: Small rocker step, medium knee lift just above the waist, somewhat quick paced delivery, has body control, strides in-line, gets foot on ground and creates leverage against front side, finishes somewhat upright with slight rotation toward 1st base side. Arm Action: Clean on backside, fairly shallow and compact takeaway, quick arm getting to a 3/4 release, some slight recoil in the finish, release height was similar on all pitches (4.8-5.0) FB: T88.4, 85-87.9 mph velo range. Flashes above average arm side movement (11.1 avg HM) with glimpses of high spin ability (2379 avg, 2523 max). Has strike throwing ability and can get to both sides of the plate, willing to attack and trusts his stuff, extension (5.7 avg) could increase just a bit for more life deeper through the zone. CB: 68-70 mph. Shorter tight action, spins it well with feel for the zone (67%), projects as an above average curveball that can be used for outs and stealing strikes. SL: 73-76 mph. Displayed feel (67% zone%) with above average horizontal movement, max 2496 spin, the bump in velocity with smaller action but similar spin to the CB makes it so he can use both effectively. CH: 76-78 mph. Arm side fade with deceptive action, significant decrease in spin off the FB look, mirrors the extension of the FB, slightly lower release height (4.8) off the FB, enough feel to suggest this will develop into a usable pitch.

Arm Action: Medium circle in the back to a 3/4 slot. Present scap load and layback. Easy effort. Above average arm speed. Consistent arm speed on all pitch types. FB: T86, 84-85 mph. Straighter action. Good feel in zone (86% zone percentage). Decent extension allows for extra perceived velo. SL: 66-72 mph. Shorter action. 29% zone clip. Drops slot slightly but maintains armspeed.
