Defense: 2.09-2.16 pop times. Solid feel for the catching position, confident in his ability, looks the part. Received well and with strength gains and maturity could turn that part of his game into a plus-tool. Arm: RH. C - 76 mph. Fringy arm strength, projects for more down the line, more lower half engagement could help in the interim. Hit: RHH. Narrow stance with even hands slightly below shoulder height with elbows flared as he rests bat on back. Rocks into load with knee tuck and coil, producing a deep load down and back. Aggressive swing with an upward attack, producing highest launch angle averages in the top half of the zone. Line drive averages showed well and project well; 331.2 ft, 25.1° launch angle, 91.3 mph exit velocity. Power: 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.11 runner in the 60.

V Soledad - Uncommitted. Long and lean medium frame that projects much more growth in the near future; chance for some more size in the frame also. Narrow stance with high even hands and high elbows flared as he rests bat on back. Rocks into load with big knee tuck showing slight back turn as hands have deep pull down and back. Swing works on upward path with quick hand speed showing aggressiveness in the swing with full body turns finishing over stiff front leg; times where the barrel gets long creating some swing and miss. Squared up a ball right at the LF and tried a push bunt early showing some quickness down the line. Defensive skills show solid fundamentals with continued room for growth. Glove hand showed flashes of ability to turn pitches back for strikes; strength will help improve receiving ability and allow glove hand to firm up. Quick feet behind the plate showing ability for lateral movement, blocking and when throwing to bases. Aggressive with his arm willing to throw behind runners and keep them honest. Arm strength is fringey right now but has more coming from compact actions; throws into the wind between innings were on bag and arm side with good carry (2.09-2.27 Pop). Strength will be key for him; chance to make jumps as he firms up.

NCTB underclass tourney - Good tools behind the plate. Was not afraid to back pick and did a great job helping out his pitcher to get out of innings. At the plate, he was 1-3 with a single.
