Event: NorCal Uncommitted Games Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Average size frame, lean and proportioned. Delivery: Starts with post foot flush to rubber, very slight rocker, hands start high before going down to up with rhythm tied to knee lift, tucks leg to body in the lift, smooth down and out stride, tilts front shoulder up which allows him to hide his arm longer, in-line stride, has stability and balance throughout delivery, uses glove arm for leverage, in fairly good fielding position through release. Arm Action: Long on backside with depth down to back knee, loose arm without restrictions, smooth arm action that doesn’t force the arm speed, gets to a high overhand release, full finish with deceleration allowing energy to leave. FB: T82.5 mph, 80.6 avg mph, 2103 max spin; Flashes above average run, more often than not it’s the angle he can create through the zone and ability to hide the ball and hit spots that are positive attributes of the fastball. CB: 70-71 mph, 2005 max spin; Big break with two plane movement, 11/5 type shape, continuous movement to bottom of zone, best ones bottomed out below swings with depth in zone. CH: 77-78 mph, 1559 avg spin; Flashed above average horizontal movement, works down in zone effectively from the high arm slot.
6/12/22
Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; Has some lean strength on an average size frame, strike throwing RHP with feel for full repertoire, stuff isn't overwhelming but keeps hitters on their heels by attacking and working quickly, FB 80-83, 2189 max spin, gets above avg horizontal movement on the FB and also swings just above the belt and in a spot hard to get to for RHH, CB 71-74 mph, 1895 avg spin, release height is same as FB so he's able to tunnel the two pitches, CHG 73-77, little lower release height from FB and takes off some spin while getting fading action through the zone. One of those pitchers who can give a lot of hitters a 'comfortable' 0-fer.
9/11/21
Positional Profile: RHP Body: 5-11, 155-pounds.Good athletic frame that will fill out over the next few years. Delivery: stays tall and over the rubber with a chest high leg kick from the windup. Stays connected up to front foot contact. Strong, healthy and repeatable. Arm Action: RH. Good arm circle down into a whippy over the top release point. FB: T80, 77-80 mph. Worked both sides of the plate consistently getting ahead. Has late depth that gives him the ability to pitch for ground balls. CB: 67-69 mph. Has a frisbee effect that has a hard bite with a big bend. SL: 73-74 mph. Shorter and tighter than the curveball. Keeps hitters honest and gives them a different look.
7/11/21
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 5-11, 160 pounds. Medium lean build. Room to add some physicality.
Mechanics: Slower temp delivery. Uses a higher knee lift that gets him into the back hip. Drops into back knee slightly but is more tall and fall. Average arm speed. Loose in the back as he gets into a full arm swing that comes out of a ¾ slot. Opens frontside a tad early at times. Falls toward home with a bent front leg at finish. Threw 2 clean innings in game action.
FB: Showed decent FB location. Got decent extension with it for size at 6.1 ft. Some present ASR.
SL: Had some trouble locating but flashed some nice tight spin. Didn’t slow down or change up mechanics to throw it.
CH: Same armspeed. Had some decent fade that was exhibited in HB break.
