San Diego commit. Strong and compact build on a 6-foot-0 190-pound frame, well put together like a halfback. One of California's top 2019 prospects. Numerous tools stand out as an offensive player, particularly extremely fast hands that are also quite strong. Still and quiet set up, holds hand high with back elbow at shoulder height, feet spread out slightly wider than shoulders with good balance throughout stance. Small lower body load as he drops he gets behind ball. Attacks baseball with no stride approach and transfers weight to his front foot while driving his hands through contact. Head stays calm and on the ball. Middle of field approach, has power but flat swing tends to keep him gap to gap with line drives that can and do get over outfielders' heads. Works inside the ball and is compact. Stole a few bases and went early in the count. Stolen base of 2nd was in 3.33 seconds. Defensively he has light feet in centerfield, gets behind the ball well and in good position to throw. Throws from a 3/4 slot with some fading action on longer throws. Ball exits hand well but the slot tends to affect the carry of the throw. Easy going kid in the dugout and blends with teammates.
