2018 Underclass Area Code Game - USC recruit. Tended to be an open strider that is a big, strong kid. Up to 89 with longer arm stroke and you see it for a long time. The curveball really lacks. However, he was able to get outs, and I've seen him compete well a couple times now without having plus stuff.
4/3/18 - 4/6/18 - Pitcher-type swing, but got it done. The frame is VERY physical. Strength throughout, but still maturing a bit. On the mound he was up as high as 89 mph settling in at 85-87. Looks like an athlete who pitches. Had more velocity when he needed it. Semi-long in the back with a stiff wrist through the ball. Looks like he will have a chance to sink it more in the future. Changeup was 80 mph and was developing. Breaking ball worked 74-77, looked like he was careful with it.He will likely throw harder in the future, but his growth as a player will be dictated by the polish that he develops.
