2/21-23/19 3 Games - Fairweather came on in relief during Game 1 against Carroll and helped keep Valley Christian close. He’s mainly a FB/SLD guy out of the pen going to the SLD extensively at times to keep hitters uncomfortable. The SLD was 67-70 MPH with late sweep from a 10/5-to-11/4 break showing feel and getting lots of swings and misses on the pitch. Fairweather went 3.1 innings in that game giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. He’s a solid piece out of the bullpen for the Warriors.
1/13/19 - Central Valley Preseason ID - Solidly built, compact medium sized 5-foot-11 170-pound frame; sloped shoulders and a high waist with lean strength throughout. Quick feet with legs that stay underneath him well, showing makeup speed (7.37 60-yd dash). Narrow, tall stance with slightly open front foot and high hands/high back elbow; small knee tuck and turn as hands work down and back into pocket. Quickness in bat as he works on slight uphill bat path with finish over shoulder and strong usage of lower half; bat has pop to pull side with the ability to create leverage and drive to the pull side gap while hitting over a stiff front leg (93 exit velo). Athletic in OF with strong angles to attack the ball and quick feet. Wide, 3/4 arm that is whippy and quick while utilizes lower half well to work through extension; ball has some run due to the angle but showed good life through targets (85 mph). On mound similar slot, whippy strong arm, sling arm action, rotational delivery, aggressive with arm, athletic delivery, bit of a heel landing with stride leg, fastball 82-83 mph with some arm side life, best pitch snappy 10/4 shaped curveball 72-73 mph, firm change-up 78-80 possibly can work as BP type fastball.
