PBR CA STATE GAMES - Long and agile frame with width in the shoulders; projectable frame and more space to keep firming up and adding more strength. Showed very strong blocking skills with the bat progressing well. Behind the plate was athletic with lateral agility having strong blocking ability beating balls to spots. Arm is a weapon with the ability to make throws easy and keep it on the base; caught a runner in game (2.12-2.14 Pop). At the plate stays tall and balanced with a compact upward bat and quick hand speed. Picked up a couple hits including a hard hit 2B to CF. Lots to like and continue to dream upon.

IE Future Games Trials - Uncommitted. Six-foot-2, 185-pounds, solid frame with room for upper half growth. Lower half has present strength. At the plate starts with a slightly open base before using a slight leg lift trigger. Right handed hitter that gets into his legs well, finds barrels frequently, and has a very efficient swing. There’s present power through extension. Drop hands into launch position and maintains barrel on-plane through the zone for the duration of his swing. He shows to be a quality receiver behind the plate with soft hands, a strong base with athletic movements. Drops and recovers quickly and is ready to throw when reaching his feet. Arm is a standout tool presently popping in the 1.90-2.12 range with accuracy to the bag.

SoCal Preseason All-State - 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Big, strong athletic build with some physical projection remaining. Batting from the right side, Olaso has a nice simple approach. A quick bat to go along with fast, loose hands. Has the ability to turn on pitches and drive the ball. Lots of power potential in his bat. Behind the plate, Olaso showcased his athleticism with his good footwork and above average blocking skills. Pop times ranged from 1.94-2.03. Showed above average arm strength, to go along with accurate throws. Moves well out of his crouch where he shows a quiet, balanced setup. Often beats the ball to the spot and frames pitches without giving away location.

SoCal Preseason All-State Quick Hits - Olaso has the makings of a big time recruit with his physical frame at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, and his advanced catching ability, not to mention the untapped power in his bat. Showed very, very well in all facets of the showcase particularly behind the plate where he shows excellent balance and flexibility allowing him to move easily and quietly. Has a big arm behind the plate that popped in the 1.94 - 2.03 range with accuracy to the bag. At the plate he shows present bat speed with projectable power from his middle-middle approach.
