Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; A good player w/a competitive streak in him, there are present tools that will all be enhanced w/some physical maturity. Swing works, covers ground in the OF, throws/runs well. It's simply size/strength that are the key to further development.
1/25/20
NorCal Preseason All-State:
6.97 60yd, 84 OF, 79 EV
5-10, 150 long and wiry frame with space for added strength as he continues to mature. Opened stance, slight knee bend with loose hands at the back shoulder; toe-tap load with hands having limited movement. Loose and easy swing showing compact barrel turn and upwards path getting on plane early and finishing high over front shoulder; flashes feel for the barrel able to work with carry to both gaps and stay behind the ball well (79 EV). Added strength will help the bat continue to improve. Read the ball well in the OF and shows athletic ability to adjust on the fly; quick load up when he gets the ball with a compact and easy arm action able to throw firmly to bases (84 OF).
10/13/19
PBR N CA Top Prospect Game - Athletic frame at 5-foot-9 150-pounds showing off baseball skills all over the field (7.02 60-yard). The bat-to-ball skills continue to impress as the quick bat (80 mph exit velo off tee) gets on plane early working hard line drives all around the field during BP; three solid contacts during the game picking up two hits (2B/1B) and showing his ability to get to a second speed when needing it. Very easy movements in OF keeping balls on a line to each of the bases with life (82-84 mph); showed his range in game and defense looks like it will be above-average at multiple positions. Quiet confidence and plays bigger than size.
5/27/19
N. CA Underclass ID - Medium-long frame that projects more growth in the near future; frame has space to keep maturing and adding strength. Quick feet with wiry muscle currently allows him to move fluidly with limited effort (7.19 60yd). In OF uses that athleticism and strong gait to move in time and through the baseball. Quick, compact arm from OF able to put balls on the bag with life and carry (84 MPH). At the plate slightly opened stance keeping high hands and a high back elbow. Bat has a quick trigger with lower half working well in swing to produce late whippy bat speed on level path to stay through the middle of the field (78 EV) and into pull gap. Athletic swing with aggressive attack. Twitchy actions that jumped out especially during BP and OF work.
