Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; one of top remaining players in 2021 class in Northern California; Outstanding performance both offensively and defensively. Have consistently seen his high level pitch recognition skills, now some power is showing up, ignitor type offensive talent. Defensively showed plus range in CF and has outstanding tools for 2nd base, including light and athletic feet, good angles and first step.

BAWS 2019 - Compactly built with athletic proportions, Rolling is the player that grows on you as you watch him over three days. He doesn't overpower the game with big time tools, rather, he has a wide range of talents and skills and plays a winning style of baseball. Seemingly always in the right spot at the right time, overcomes lack of a big arm with a quick release and outstanding footwork. Range plays to both his left and right and he's strong around the bag. Quick runner (7.16 60-yard) vs big time speed but gets to his top end quickly and can put pressure on the defense. Offensively he displayed a VERY discerning eye and simply refused to chase anything, even very close pitches. More impressive was that when he did get a strike he was in hit mode and ready to move the ball with a contact-oriented swing. In six plate appearances it became very clear that he knows the zone and has a plan/approach each and every pitch. Good field energy, good dugout presence, glue type player who elevates others around him due to his team-oriented focus and style of play.

PBR Norcal Underclass Games - 5-foot-7, 150-pounds, compact body with some strength, particularly strong lower body and well-proportioned throughout, built like a middle-infielder. Rolling’s energy and game savvy are a couple of things that stood out and have each of the times we’ve seen him. Runs more quick than fast and gets up to speed quickly, able to put pressure on the defense with hustle. Has a quick bat with middle/oppo approach and a short swing. Can get to velocity, swing works best when letting the ball travel and driving the ball into the left-centerfield gap, which he showed ability to do vs offspeed pitches in game action. Worked LONG and deep count at-bats in both game plate appearances, can spoil pitches and can definitely frustrate a pitcher and run up some pitch counts. Defensively does a great job with pre-pitch readiness, positions himself well and displayed good instincts/anticipation. Good transfer around the bag on the double play turn, quick feet and plays well below the ball, range is good. Lively bounce in his step as well.

BAWS 2018 - Compactly built athlete with middle infielder type proportions on 5-foot-7 145-pound body. Even stance with quiet load and lean into back hip; swing has some compactness with times where top hand takes over, suggesting he could develop high average type of swing and move the ball to all fields, while providing competitive, pesky type at-bats. Quick feet with fluid athleticism and sure glove hand; arm plays better at 2nd base, but more could come to arm as he strengthens. Fluid out of box with longer stride down the line; 4.37-4.44 H-1st.
