BAWS 2019 - Long, large, athletic and physical frame with current muscle shape (7.26 60yd). Tall stance with toe tap timing from wider stance keeping hands still at the back shoulder. Quick bat from quick turns finishing upwards through the zone; allowed strength to come out with lift and pullside pop driving balls into the gap and over the fence (85 EV). From RF has a loose 3/4 arm keeping it tight to the body out of the glove; put balls online with carry (82 MPH). Defense fits in any spot with good ability to track balls over his head; loose hips able to make up distance quickly.
4/15/19
Fresno Easter Classic 4/15 - 4/16/19 - Long, rangy athletic QB type body. Lively barrel better to oppo gap. Runs well gliding to bases. Easy power potential to see. Most impressive tracking the ball into deep gap with excellent angles. Great reads and ability to make plays stealing would-be hits. Can learn to stay off breaking balls through bottom of zone. Lots of tools to work with and dream on. / 2nd viewing; range and jumps continue to stand out, arm showed above average with on-line one hop to 2nd base from RCF warning track, again showed oppo gap power, one-hopping fence to clear bases loaded situation. Tools and projection body/athleticism give a hint of Jake Marisnick comp. Starting QB at school and older brother is a red-shirt freshman at Fresno State.
