7/19/18 @ NCTB Upperclass Tourney - Multiple reports from three different scouts at the tourney: Wright is aggressive when it comes to hitting. As a lead-off hitter he was not afraid to swing swing early if it was where he was looking. Made some solid contact and even did so with two strikes, physical but compact swing. Has a solid arm out in the outfield and showed some range. Sometimes could be too aggressive but always found a way to produce quality AB’s. Talented, has tools, plenty of reasons to come back and see him. /// Tall lengthy body with athleticism. Outfielder with great reactions and can cover a lot of ground. Takes efficient routes to the baseball and has an average arm. Great speed down the line and is threat on the base’s. Right-handed hitter turns well on the inside pitch and can spray all over the field. Doesn’t hit for power but uses his speed to turn singles into extra base hits. Great job of leading off and finding away on to create rallies. /// Slender built outfielder that can accelerate well and covers a lot of ground, good initial reads of the bat, more quick than fast, decent batting stroke. /// BP notes: easy, flicks it and it goes, pretty swing, can backspin it, can hit
