High waist, medium build with a strong lower half (7.61 60yd). Tall, high hands stance with high back elbow; loads hands back quickly with quiet lower half. Loose easy swing able to match barrel plane with pitches and showing ability to get his hands through the zone (83 EV). Some athleticism in the OF using good footwork to keep himself in line towards bases; compact, high release arm (72 OF).

Uncommitted. 6-foot, 180-pounds. Large frame with proportional strength in the upper and lower half. Body has room for continued physical development and refinement. Offensively Shupe shows a balanced setup/finish with a level bat path through the zone. Gets extended post contact. Bat plays in-game where his pitch recognition and ability to read spin out of the hand are exacerbated. Swing can get rotational at times with the lower half disappearing, but he’s able to get the barrel to the ball with fast hands. Defensively Shupe shows fair footwork in the outfield circling and charging balls while keeping his feet moving and funneling out front. Arm strength should continue to develop as he physically matures but it shows accuracy presently.

SoCal Preseason All State - Six-foot, 178-pounds. Has a medium/larger frame, younger body that should continued to add strength with physical maturation. He started the day registering a 7.37 60-yard dash. From the plate he operates from a straight away stance, hands are by back shoulder with a wider base and a shorter stride. Swing path is consistent with an abbreviated finish that favors the pullside. Hands are quick through the zone allowing him to catch up to inside pitches. From the outfield Shupe registered a velo of a 74 mph. He throws from a shorter motion and a ¾ arm angle. He makes accurate throws and has carry on the ball. Has average hands, fluid footwork, and consistent, clean exchanges. He plays thru getting body behind the ball, and shows good athleticism.

Los Angeles Open - Six-foot, 160-pounds, medium/large frame that is long, lean, and wiry strong. Long legs with some noticeable strength. Squared shoulders with wiry strength down to the wrists. Starts with a balanced setup at the plate using a short load and toe tap trigger to initiate swing. Follow through it abbreviated - almost cut off. Ground ball hitter to the pullside. In the outfield he shows a good understanding of angles to the ball off the bat. Arrives at the ball under control of his body and in ready-to-throw position with little-to-no wasted movement. Arm shows some strength with accuracy to the bags. Throws had some carry. Footwork is fluid and consistent. Shows quickness in his first step once ball is off the bat.
