Tincher is off to a hot start offensively. Slashing .316/.458/.711 through 10 games so far this season. In our 1 game look, Tincher went 2-4 with 2 HR, 3R and 2 RBI. At 5-foot-8, 170 lbs, he’s reached his physical max at this point but he absolutely gets the most out of his frame and will likely always outperform his perceived prospect status. A ‘professional’ hitter with consistent bat to ball skills and strike zone discipline, there isn’t much that makes him uncomfortable in the box. Using a quiet set-up with hands starting high above rear shoulder, he takes a controlled leg lift to gather on his backside before a shorter forward move that lands him in an athletic base with his hands staying loaded and tension throughout his core. Short, strong lever in his upper half allow him to be quick and direct to the ball while still getting barrel depth in the zone. Generates considerable power from the ground up and really impacts the baseball when he connects. While the power numbers might eventually taper off in the long-run, there’s plenty of juice in the bat to carry into pro ball.
