Delivery: Hands over-head windup. Controlled easy mover. Repeats well. Smaller sit into backleg. Average length stride. Level shoulders. Still head. Some early internal rotation of driveleg. Lower half works in good direction through home. Avg. lead leg block.Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-9/195. Medium frame. Physical build. Present lower/upper half strength.
Defense: Advanced defender. Gets to his spots with quick feet. Soft/sure hands. Clean funnel with quick glove-to-hand.
Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. Short action. Easy effort strength. Works quick to release. Accurate thrower. Can lower/manipulate slot when needed.
Hit: RHH. Wider base with loose hands. Simple trigger and stride as hands take back slightly. Slight uphill path through the zone. More FBs than LDs/GBs during BP round. Advanced bat/hand speed (74/24). Slight kick-back with backleg. Flashed some pullside power. Turns tight and bat accelerates early (17 gs avg. rotational acceleration). Balanced swing.
Arm Action: Smaller loose arm circle in the back that works to a normal ¾ slot. Easy arm speed. Arm works on time. Hides behind torso well. Maintains consistent slot/armspeed.
FB: 82-84. Straighter action. Solid control. Flased some carry up in the zone (18.4 inch max VB).
SL: 72-73. Shorer SL. Minimal VB and averaged 6 inches of sweep. Feel in-zone for strikes.
Command came and went on this day. When on, pounded the fastball in on RHH inducing whiffs and soft contact. Changeup, when on, was at worst an average pitch and at best a plus pitch particularly to LHH. Tunnels the CH/FB combination very well coming from the same high 3/4 slot. Deliberate delivery keeps him balanced throughout landing. Misses up when he speeds things up. Inline landing with toe. Not afraid to attack hitters inside.
