vs Acalanes HS - Uncommitted. 6-foot-0 180-pounds; long, medium build. Stands deep in the box with a wide, slightly open but controlled stance. Wags the bat some but it doesn’t distract from his mechanics. Holds hands high with small stride as he loads up. Keeps head still throughout swing. Has a keen eye at the plate. Above average pitch recognition. Went 1-for-3 with a walk, a booming 3-run bases clearing double in his second, and a pop out and line out in his 3rd and 4th ab’s, respectively. Hit the ball hard throughout. Double was impressive; stayed back on an off-speed pitch and drilled it to the wall in left. Good awareness on the bases; stole 2nd as part of a double steal and later, scored from 2nd on a high pop up on the infield that could’ve ended the inning. Doesn’t have great speed but used mental awareness to affect the game. Finished off the game on mound; FB, CB, CH mix. Short-arm release. Got ahead, closed it out.

vs Cal HS - Uncommitted; Clearly has the tools to play at the college level. He has a lean, medium build (6-foot-0, 180-pounds) well-suited for the 3B position. He showed a strong, accurate arm during pre-game and it carried over to the game itself. Aivazian showed good range and made a nice play far to his left in the hole. He showed his instincts on a strike-him-out, throw-him-out double play at 3rd base, racing to the bag and waiting for the runner to tag him out. At the plate, he has a slight crouch with his feet spread out and some waggle of the bat. He went 1-for-3 with a single in his last at-bat and took some good swings. He came out of the gate aggressive in his first at-bat and later stayed back on a curveball, singling up the middle his last plate appearance. It looks like Aivazian will be the Falcons starter at 3rd base and middle of the line-up presence this year for the Falcons.

NorCal Preseason All-State:
7.92 60yd, 77 INF, 88 EV
6-0, 180 long and lanky frame with some strength across chest. High hands, opened stance using high front foot; good spacing with longer stride allowing hands to move through the zone with barrel speed occuring on turn. Gets on plane early and ability to showcase bat speed as he finishes high above the back shoulder; balls jumped through the middle and gaps with good strength off the barrel (88 EV). Footwork was fair at 3rd with some rhythm into the baseball; tended to play with head high leading to pushier actions of the glove. When he worked in time with the baseball and stayed low the throws were firm across the diamond with better carry than velocity showed (77 INF). Frame has some projection and the bat speed plays.
