Not many catchers in Northern California with his all-around baseball talents and usable tools. Battled some nagging injuries all spring on the heels of a deep football playoff run and took some time to get healthy, nothing structural, has bounced back to start playing and hitting like he's shown in the past. Big end of season finish for his team. 4-year varsity starter, multi-sport athlete. Outstanding all-around skill/tool set, quick exchange, accurate throws, strong arm, strong receiver and blocker, barrel in the strike zone and produces with usable power, gets through the ball and can drive the ball line to line, frame is good and will carry size strength gains in college, showed all that is needed for the position at the major college level.
