7/24/19

NCA Top Prospect ID - Medium full frame with lower waist and sloped shoulder; has improved his speed since previous viewing earlier this summer (7.16 60-yd). Starts tall with hands deep before squatting low moving weight over back hip and staying behind baseball with quiet foot lift. Swing is quick and aggressive staying with his head on the ball with direct hands allowing top hand to take over late in process; produced lots of hard contact into both gaps and flashed some HR power to the pull side (85 EV). Feet stay underneath him well with loose hips and a soft glove playing smooth on the dirt; played well on the move having lower half and arm work in time together. Arm is compact with enough to make plays at the position; could move to 2nd and be a solid fit as well (79 MPH).

6/26/19

BAY AREA OPEN: Medium full frame with lower waist and sloped shoulder using short, brisk stride (7.56 60yd). Tall and wide with high hands and a high back elbow, pulling bat knob down early showing controlled forward movement as he keeps head on baseball hitting over strong front side. Hands are direct with loose wrists keeping flat bat through the zone; lots of line drives and hard ground balls through the middle and oppo side of the field (90 EV). Good feet for the middle of the infield with some body control and feet working around the baseball; glove hand is loose and soft picking the ball out of the dirt with late flip. Compact arm with high release having ability to keep the ball on the bag (75 MPH).
