A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
The reactive strength index measurement of an athlete's explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. On a scale of 0-5.
Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Delivery: Advanced feel for his mechanics. Repeats well. Side steps into a chest high knee tuck. Decent driveleg engagement as he works down the mound. Glove arm works high creating more uphill shoulders and a pulldown effect with some added deception. More north/south plane of rotation. Larger stride that works in-line through home. Works fast/hard down the mound. Quality block at landing.
Arm Action: Hand lead path. Longer/full arm action. Gets into some decent scap-load as arm works up. Above avg. arm speed. Works to a H 3/4 slot. Maintains consistent slot/armspeed on all pitch types.
FB: 82-83. Carry FB shape due to high avg. VB (20.3 inches). Showed average control (40% in-zone). Showed effectiveness up in the zone (getting above barrels) while controlling in-zone mostly low during outing.
CB: 67-68. Shorter/slower CB. Lower spin. Averaged 3 inches of sweep/drop. Only threw a couple and both were low/in to RHHs.
CH: 71-73. More of a fading CH. Armside feel for it. Induced a lot of out-front swings in his outing. Smaller drop in VB off FB. If he can kill some more VB, has + pitch potential.

Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Long and lanky, high waist, projectable pitchers build. Lower half showing some power and stamina for down-the-line starters projection. Hit: RHH. Wide stance with athletic bend, step and go load, two-hand finish. Some inside and out to the swing path, best swings were line drives to right-centerfield. Blast Motion scores of 41-46-57. Average across the board with no glaring weakness. Rotation scoring the highest is a good sign for next level power projection. Power: 80.00 max exit velocity Arm: LH. INF - 73.00 mph. Shorter arm action than seen on mound, accurate with throws 5/5, able to make throws from different angles. Defense: Limited feel around the bag, did a good job on the transfer, fielding developing.
Delivery: Fluid delivery, glove and arm stay close to body, high front side, square finish. Head and body stay level with balance and momentum moving towards home plate. Arm Action: LH. Consistent fastball, changeup, curveball tilt with TrackMan averages. Fingers on top key to fastball and change up command and control. FB: T81, 79-80 mph. Tilt and upright balance point create downhill action. Fastball works best armside, ability to control pitch to both sides of the plate will be key to next level success. CB: 63-64 mph. Curveball breaks with slurvey action, swing and miss potential versus RHH back foot, consistent tunnel release key to future success. CH: 72-73 mph. Changeup works well off fastball, ideal speed differential, garnered swings and misses.
