Uncommitted. Five-foot-8, 150-pounds. Medium frame with strength throughout and room to add mass/strength. Offensively Teunissen shows quick hands with strength in the wrists to manipulate barrel angles and still be able to drive balls off the bat with an opposite field approach. Uses a slight load onto back leg with a pronounced leg lift trigger. Rotational through the ball with fair use of the lower half. Defensively he sets up low in his crouch before using his lower body strength to explode out of crouch and gain ground towards second base on throw downs. Shows soft hands with a strong accurate arm - all throws were on the bag. In game his ability to frame and block pitches were demonstrated several times as he “bought” his pitcher a few strike calls.

5-foot-8, 150-pounds, medium build with some strength in the lower half and in the shoulders. Defensively sets up in a deep crouch and uses his explosive lower half to get into throwing position. Throws were on or around the bag while in the 2.01-2.07 range with a 76 mph clocked throw. At the plate he shows quick-to-fast hands and the ability to handle the barrel which he keeps on plane through the zone throughout the swing. Recorded an 82 mph exit velocity off the tee. Shows the ability to go the other way with some strength while pulling the ball seems to come naturally.
10/20/18
Five-foot-6, 145-pounds, medium frame with long limbs, large feet, and a long torso. Squared shoulders with wiry strength throughout the body. Rhythmic delivery with repeatable mechanics that finishes in an athletic position while square to the target. Arm works from a 3/4 slot with some quickness and compact action. Minimal effort. Fastball shows running life as it enters the hitting zone. Shows excellent command of the pitch that he works down in the zone with. Curveball shows late with sharp, biting action. Pitch comes from same arm speed as fastball. Shows feel for a slider that he presently commands well. The pitch has shows sinking action to the back foot of righties.
10/20/18
Five-foot-6, 145-pounds, lean, wiry strong frame. Noticeable strength through the lower half. The sophomore stood out from the outset of the event when he ran a solid 7.39 60 yard dash on the damp outfield grass good for the second best time among the catchers group. He carried that into his batting practice round where he shows a quick bat with a direct-to-the-ball hand path that has some whippy strength at contact. Keeps hands inside the ball showing a knack for getting the barrel on it. Maintains balance throughout swing while staying tall despite a short stride. Defensively Teunissen shows a quick release and a fast, loose arm action. Receives with soft hands. Throws had average accuracy while popping in the 1.96-2.05 range. Shows quickness in getting out of the crouch while maintaining his body control.
6/12/18
5-foot-6, 130-pounds, small build, lean strength, long arm action in catch/throw drills; Throws had carry and were accurate on the bag. Best pop was 2.15 with a 73 mph velocity on the throw. Athletic setup with quiet hands, receives well. Block and recovers athletically. Clean exchanges with fluid footwork through the ball and release. Ran a 7.40 60. Shows a short swing path through the ball with a middle to opposite field approach. Current ground ball hitter who projects for physical growth and added strength. Took strong round of BP with a slightly open set-up and good balance throughout. Swing can be a little stiff at times however Teunissen shows athleticism in his setup and approach.
