Central Valley Preseason I.D. - Max FB 78, FB 76-78, CB 66-67, 68-70 CHG Compact build with some present strength on 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame, upper body has strength. Composed and well-trained delivery. Methodical with good focus and attention to detail. Long clean circular backside arm action with depth below the waist. Maintained on line direction and stability, front side mechanics allow for leverage. High 3/4 slot and ability to consistently repeat. Aggressive to finish through release point. Fastball mostly straight but on occasion displayed some tilt. Big shaped curveball with hints of velocity that suggest a good curveball is in his future. Change-up with some fade and given the mechanics and clean delivery he should competently develop three usable pitches at the high school level and then beyond high school will be about how far along the raw stuff comes.
OF/BATTING
7.65 60yd, 79 OF MPH, 79 EV
5-9, 160 long frame with soft strength and current muscle; can shape frame over next couple seasons. Balanced, wider stance with high even hands and high back elbow; hands have compact swing as they pull knob back creating some rhythm in the load. Compact barrel works upwards through the zone staying to the middle of the field with lots of line drives and flashing the ability to shoot to the opposite field. Projectabe in the OF playing light on his feet and using a full arm swing to produce throws that stayed online; arm has wide circular action and gets into his lower half with the throws. Projectable overall frame/skills.
