vs Foothill - U of Chicago commit; 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, athletic build, long and lanky, is typical college pitcher both physically and stuff wise. 3/4 arm slot 85-86 with FB, CB 65-68, SL 72-73. Able to mix his pitches well and keep hitters off balance. Shows exceptional command, attacks the strike zone, doesn't often fall behind in counts, can throw all three pitches for strikes, high K:BB ratio. Gets quick outs, came in when opposing team had momentum in a big inning and quickly quieted the rally and the bats, keeping his team in it and gave them the chance to come back and win.
3/12/19
vs Jesuit - U of Chicago commit; Long strong body, long arms, still looks capable of being bigger than listed 200-lbs. High 3/4 slot, some stab on the backside, good rhythm in delivery, energetic and pretty loose actions. Came on for the 5th/6th innings and pounded the zone well with his 83-85 mph fastball and feel of a 73 mph curveball that occasionally had some bit to it. There is some sink to the fastball and he was getting better angle on his pitches than in the previously viewing of him. Good tempo on the mound.
