ACG Tryout - Closed stance with hands held high and a load into his back leg as he strides. Quick two handed swing that performed well in the live scrimmage (1B and RBI 2B). Strong arm defensively (83 mph) and looked very comfortable with the backhand. Ran a 7.02 second 60 yard dash.
Arm: INF - 87 mph. Compact/clean action with a quick stroke. 5/5 accurate throws. Ball had plenty of zip across the diamond. Ability to make throws on the move.
Defense: Smooth/shifty infielder with athletic instincts. Wide base and low hands, gets to the ball quickly, funnels to the chest and shows off a quick transfer. Excellent at staying low through the ball, good mobility. Solid range - ability to get up the middle or field with the backhand while making clean throws. Sure hands and exhibits confident playmaking ability. One of the best in the showcase.
Hit: RHH. Begins with feet a little past shoulder width, slightly closed stance. Hands begin high and loads deep into the back leg while making stride with the front foot. Efficient hands that go straight from the top towards the ball, no excessive draw back movement. Hands work down and out through the ball. Uphill path to two handed finish through contact. Got the barrel out front of the ball, with ability to still work to the opposite field.

NorCal Uncommitted Games - Among the top defensive shortstops in Northern California, he's steady and smooth with a release and feet to allow the 83 mph arm to play up. Having seen him many times, when a ball is hit near him the automatic feeling is that the batter is going to be out. 76% on-plane efficiency in BP and that shows up in game action where his hits, as he did in this game, are routinely hit through the middle of the field. Ran 7.01 with a 27" vertical jump.
