Positional Profile: C Physical: 6-2, 195-pounds; Long, sturdy build. 8.31 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive attack angle resulting in 28.55 launch angle avg, creates bat speed by throwing the barrel through contact. Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands soft and strong while staying down to receive prior to transfer. Short take back from a high-3/4 arm slot. 2.11-2.23 pop times. C - 71 MPH. Able to get into multiple receiving positions while showing agility, hands work cleanly under the pitch, throws were around the bag and easy for MIF to handle.
