PBR N CA Uncommitted Senior Games - Thick body type at listed 6-foot-0 185-pounds, chance to develop a powerful build as he matures beyond high school. Competed as a two-way player and attacked hitters like a lot of primary position players do when they are on the mound. Simple delivery, short knee lift, quiet separation with quick circle arm stroke, lands with fairly short stride in-line to catcher, maintains good body control throughout and finishes in good fielding position. Not much power generation in the delivery as it’s more oriented to pounding the zone. Fastball fairly straight with occasional angle, slider with slight two-plane break can get ground balls and though change-up only flashed in warm-ups it was thrown with some feel and down in the zone.
Strong, medium frame with current muscled strength showing (7.51 60yd). Balanced, tall high hands stance keeping hands still on forward stride; barrel has upward path showing flashes of bat speed and whip with it’s high finish. Worked in the middle of the field with line drives during BP picking up a hit through the 6-hole during the game. Wide and high hips playing with adjustability and fair range fitting for 3rd base; agility could translate to the corner OF spots as well. Loose arm stays compact and firm from lower slot with throws across the diamond (81 MPH).
