1/13/19 - Central Valley Preseason I.D. - Long, medium frame with length in the core and lower half while showing sloping shoulders; lean with the ability to add strength. Average stride length with quick feet (7.63 60-yd dash). Tall stance with even base and high hands/elbows as bat rest on the shoulder; toe tap with hands lifting and working back and hitting from a wide base. Uses his full body to get into swing showing average bat speed and bat working on an upward path with flashes of ability to create leverage. Line drives with the ability to go gap-to-gap during the round of BP (83 exit velo). Fluid around the bag showing good footwork and loose hips. The arm is quick with a high release and ability to throw on the move (68 mph).
Young body type on 5-foot-11 155-pound frame, overhand slot, pitched entirely out of stretch, does a lot on his heels at beginning of delivery and as he strides, works quick and has some confidence, good extension with his fastball (65-55 mph) that had some slippery movement and run, tumbling slow curveball (54-56 mph), showed feel of change-up with some cut (63-64 mph), overall showed solid feel for the ball and the zone.
