Preseason All-State. (Catcher) Flashberg’s physical tools are developing nicely. He’s added overall strength to his frame along with 15 pounds of muscle since our last viewing. Participated in multiple aspects in this workout. Bat, hand speed has increased and he is starting to drive the baseball in the gaps.
(outfield) Showed good athleticism on routes to balls using proper footwork and technique. Showed an average, accurate arm with an over-the-top, pull-down throwing motion that had good carry. Profiles as a future catcher.

SoCal Preseason All-State - 5-foot-8, 155-pounds, Small, athletic frame, with some projection remaining in his frame. Hits from the right side of the plate with a nice line drive swing. Generates excellent bat speed with good leverage in his swing. His whole BP round consisted of hard hit line drives to all fields. Behind the plate, he was very quick on his feet, pop times ranged from 2.13-2.22. Showed average arm strength behind the plate but I expect this tool to improve. Made accurate throws to second and also blocked the plate very well. Showed an average run tool, ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Flashberg showed his impressive bat and athleticism behind the plate at the showcase, very intriguing player.
